The road streets of the trunk roads can obviously block the vehicles from passing through, and meanwhile, the potential safety hazards of traffic are increased. On one hand, the traffic interference on the two sides of the road is increased sharply, the traffic efficiency of the road can be reduced to a great extent, and the transportation function of the trunk road is influenced. On the other hand, the phenomenon that pedestrians pass through the highway in a violation mode is relatively serious, the probability of occurrence of traffic accidents is increased undoubtedly under the conditions that the highway speed limit of the trunk line is high and the proportion of trucks is high, and the severity of the caused traffic accidents is also high.

According to the statistics of related reports: the traffic accidents of the highway sections in cities and towns of the trunk roads in China mostly occur under the condition of marked lines and no control, and respectively account for about 75 percent and 9 percent of the total accidents, and the common road sections also mainly occur under the two traffic control modes and respectively account for about 79 percent and 8 percent of the total accidents. Referring to fig. 1, the intersection traffic flow detection early warning system disclosed by the invention comprises a main trunk line 1, two branch trunk lines 2 positioned on two sides of the main trunk line 1, a detection unit and an early warning unit. The detection unit comprises two radar detectors 4, one radar detector 4 is positioned on the left side of one branch trunk line 2, and the other radar detector 4 is positioned on the right side of the other branch trunk line 2, so that a radar area can completely cover the two branch trunk lines 2 and the main trunk line 1.
