微水泥是约10年前自欧洲兴起的新型家居装饰材料，是一种装饰涂层，是由水泥、水性树脂材料、改性聚合物、石英等材料混合制成的表面装饰材料。它具有强度高，厚度薄，无缝施工防水性强等特点，属于水泥的一种。
其名称的由来有两个原因：
1）此前，产品在全球还没有正式的品类名称，但因为产品的高科技感，欧洲的工厂在产品名称中借用了改变世界的Microsoft（微软）的前缀MICRO，再加上各自的爱称，于是市场上出现了“纳米水泥”、“微水泥”、”艺术水泥”等五花八门的翻译或取名，后来逐渐统一翻译，称之为“微水泥”；
2）与传统水泥粗糙的质感相比，微水泥更细腻，装修后更能体现出细微处的细节之美。
3）它是一种由多种天然矿物质和合成聚合物混合而成的新型建筑材料,其粒径一般小于100nm，由于这种颗粒的直径很小,因而被称为“微水泥”。

Micro cement is a new type of home decoration material rising from Europe about 10 years ago. It is a kind of decorative coating, which is made of cement, water-based resin material, modified polymer, quartz and other materials. It has high strength, thin thickness, seamless construction waterproof strong characteristics, belongs to a kind of cement.
It got its name for two reasons:
1) Before, there was no formal category name of the product in the world, but because of the high-tech sense of the product, the European factory borrowed the prefix MICRO of Microsoft (Microsoft), which changed the world, in the product name, plus their respective pet names. So there appeared in the market "nano cement", "micro cement", "art cement" and other various translations or names, and then gradually unified translation, called "micro cement";
2) Compared with the rough texture of traditional cement, micro cement is more delicate, and can reflect the beauty of fine details after decoration.
3) It is a new building material mixed by a variety of natural minerals and synthetic polymers. Its particle size is generally less than 100nm. Due to the small diameter of this particle, it is called "micro cement".
