Background

Areca catechu (scientific name: Areca catechu L.) is a evergreen tree of Areca genus of Palmae family, native to Malaysia, and widely cultivated in tropical regions of Asia. In China, betel nuts are mainly distributed in the tropical areas of Yunnan, Hainan and Taiwan. At present, seed propagation is mostly adopted in a main betel nut producing area. The seeds are bagged and cultivated after germination acceleration on a seedbed, and are planted in a field after the height of the betel nut seedlings reaches about 45 cm.

The production period of the betel nuts is as long as 30-40 years, and the selection of high-quality seedlings is a prerequisite condition for efficient cultivation. The support basis for cultivating high-quality seedlings is the selection of seedling culture substrates. The seedling raising matrix not only directly influences the growth speed and quality of seedlings, but also influences the seedling recovery, flowering and fruiting and fresh fruit yield of the betel nuts after field planting. The substrate is a basic substance widely applied in the seedling raising process, and not only needs to consider the requirements of plants on nutrient substances, but also needs to consider the influences of the water retention property, the air permeability and the like of the substrate on the growth of plant roots.

Betel nut seedlings generally need to be cultivated in nursery bags for 0.5-1.5 years from germination of the betel nuts until transplantation to the field. Although the history of planting Hainan areca nuts has been over 2100 years, scientific management is less conscious. Most farmers randomly take 'hand soil' to bag and grow seedlings, so that nutrient deficiency or unbalance is easily caused, and the requirement for growth of areca seedlings is difficult to meet in the whole seedling growing process. In addition, the phenomenon that the water and fertilizer management is not in place or is completely irrespectively carried out in the seedling stage of the betel nuts is very common.

Therefore, the special fertilizer for disease resistance and growth promotion of the betel nuts and the preparation method thereof are provided, have the functions of improving soil, promoting the growth of betel nut plants and enhancing the disease and pest resistance of the betel nuts, and are a novel environment-friendly biological organic fertilizer with green and lasting fertilizer efficiency.

Example 1

The application conditions of the prepared special fertilizer for betel nuts are as follows:

(1) application time: before sowing, the soil is turned over to be used as base fertilizer or base fertilizer, after the base fertilizer is applied, the soil is fully mixed with the soil, and the soil is immediately covered, so that the sowing and planting can be carried out after one week.
