Background
After the development of oil fields enters the middle and later stages, the high water content or the rapid water content rise of the horizontal well is one of the commonly encountered problems, and the productivity loss is serious. The efficient water plugging process has important significance for ensuring normal production of an oil well. At present, the most widely applied water plugging process of each large oil field is a mechanical water plugging method, the operation is complex, and the water plugging effect cannot meet the treatment requirement of the block. On the basis of mechanical water plugging, the bidirectional plugging adjustment is further performed on the oil-water well, the effective period of water plugging is prolonged, and the water plugging effect is improved. The chemical water plugging has good adaptability to water plugging in old areas in water injection development blocks, can effectively reduce water content, and improves the single-well productivity. The selection of the formula of the plugging agent is a crucial part of chemical water plugging, the currently commonly used chemical plugging agents mainly comprise a jelly type, a resin type, a gel type, a precipitation type and a dispersion type, and the advantages and the disadvantages of various plugging agent systems are obvious: (1) the jelly glue type has the advantages of different flow resistance to oil and water, adjustable freezing time, capability of plugging different depths, and the defects of poor stability at higher temperature and mineralization and higher toxicity of common cross-linking agents; (2) the resin type has the advantages of good injectability, temperature resistance, salt resistance, high strength, long validity period and high cost; (3) the gel type has the advantages of good injectability, no pollution to the environment, adjustable gel time, capability of plugging different depths and low strength and no scouring resistance; (4) the precipitation type has the advantages of temperature resistance, salt resistance, capability of plugging different depths, low strength, large dosage and high cost; (5) the dispersion type has the advantages of high temperature resistance, salt resistance and plugging capability of the solid dispersion type, has selectivity to oil and water in a gas and gel dispersion type, and has the defect that the gas dispersion type needs a gas source and power consumption. Particularly, the amount of injected water into a horizontal well in a low-permeability reservoir fracture development area is large, and no single system can meet the water plugging requirement. Therefore, a plugging agent suitable for the high water content of the horizontal well of the low-permeability reservoir is needed to be provided, and technical support is provided for oil stabilization and water control of the oil field.
